SPARKS, Nev., November 01, 2017 – Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) announces an addition to its Washington, D.C. office, bringing aboard Church Hutton as Senior Director for Legislative Affairs.
Hutton held senior positions on the Senate Armed Services and Appropriations Committees and brings more than 12 years of bipartisan Capitol Hill experience in national security budgeting and policy. He most recently served on the professional staff of the Senate Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, where he was responsible for recommending program funding for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps totaling nearly $150 billion in annual appropriations.

Hutton earned a Bachelor of Science in business & management from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s in public policy from George Mason University. He was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations Congressional Foreign Policy Study Group and the Stennis Center for Public Service Leadership Program. He was a fellow for the Center for New American Security’s Next Generation National Security Leaders Program and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Seminar XXI.
Hutton has served 19 years as a non-commissioned officer and officer in the Army Reserve, including on joint and geographic combatant command staffs and two combat tours in Iraq. He is a fourth generation United States soldier.
